Choose events

The Events tab decides when a message is sent and what it shows.

WooCommerce orders

New order sends a message for every new order. An order is new when it is paid or waits for payment confirmation (bank transfer, cash on delivery), as in the WooCommerce “New order” email. Unpaid orders left in Pending payment are not sent.

Orders from the block checkout, the classic checkout, the admin and the REST API all count. One order gives one message, never two.

Status changes sends a message when an order moves to one of the statuses you check. When New order is on, a new order sends only that message, even if its status (for example Processing) is checked here.

What an order message shows

Under Message content, check what people in the chat should see:

  • ordered products, and a preview image of the first product that has one;
  • customer name, phone, email, address and the order note.

Uncheck what a chat should not see, for example email and address in a chat with couriers. Every message has a link that opens the order in the admin.

The image preview works only on a site open to the internet: Telegram loads the image from your site. If it cannot, the message still arrives, without the image.

Contact Form 7

Form submissions sends every field of a submitted form under the label it has in the form. Attached files are listed by name. Quiz and captcha fields are left out.

Which forms: check the forms that should send messages. If none is checked, every form does. Translations of a form (WPML, Polylang) count as one form.

If the site fails to send the form’s email, the message still arrives and says so: it may be the only copy of the request.

Language

Messages use the site’s language. On a multilingual site, they use the default language.
