The group is not found

Find chats lists the chats where your bot recently got a message. A group appears only after the bot sees a command there.

  1. Press Find chats on the Connection tab.
  2. Send the command in the group: /start@your_bot, with your bot’s username. For a topic, send it inside that topic.
  3. Wait for the group to appear. It shows up in the list within a few seconds and is selected.

Why an ordinary message is not enough

A bot in a group sees only commands. Telegram does not always tell the bot that it was added to a group either, so the command is the sure way.

You added the bot a while ago

Telegram keeps the list of recent events for 24 hours. If you added the bot or wrote to it earlier, send the command again.

The bot uses a webhook

If the same bot is connected to another service, Telegram sends its messages there, and the plugin cannot find chats; the Connection tab says so. Create a separate bot for this site in @BotFather, or enter the chat ID yourself.

It still does not appear

Type the chat yourself in Chat ID. A group ID starts with -100; a channel can be entered as @username.
